What was the code P0??? No code says the sensor is bad ! It will show a circuit low or circuit high or circuit open or short ! You have wiring or computer problems . Associated with a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is a diagnostic test chart , if you don't do the diagnostics you end up changing parts needlessly !
the computer in your dodge truck has picked up 1 or more trouble codes in the system, you will have to hook up a code testing retrieving tool to the aldl [ assembly line diagnostic link ] , normally located under the instrument panel on the left side in your truck close to the steering wheel, and retreive the codes and verify them by the booklet that came with the tester, if you don't have a tester, then go to your closest auto part store and explain to them about your engine light being on, they will hook the tester up for free, and tell you what the computer has picked up, good luck, and hope that this information was helpful to you.
You need to get the code(s) read to be sure what it is. Take it to a shop that you trust and they will hook it up to a code scanner and tell you exactly what code(s) there are. From there you can plan your repairs.
the po700 code will be found in the engine controller all it means is there is a code preasent in the trans controller a good scan tool is needed to communicate with trans controller to retrieve the stored codes that specify problem
code po700 is to tell the ecm and you there is a trans.problem and dtc set in trans.module. po755 is a trans. shift solenoid problem. check trans.fluid level when hot and color of fluid ,dark is not good, burnt smell not good .chrysler has a large trans.problem need to visit a trans. shop for repairs.hope this helps.
First thing, smell your fluid to see if it smells burned. The code po 700 is a trans. control problem code, which could be because of burned clutches, but I don't really think that's the case. The best way to tell if you have an internal trans problem is to drop the pan and see if there's a lot of debris in the pan. If there is a lot of junk in the pan, more than likely you'll have to have the trans. rebuilt. I would take it to a dealer and have them run a trans diagnostic on it. With their scan tool, they can check your clutch volumes, turn all your sensors off and on to tell you what your problem is. Hope this helps. Phil
