1983 buick skyhawk 2.0 with TBI not sparying fuel

Spark is good. Tried starting fluid. Engine started and ran good until fluid used up.
Fuel pump good and pumping fuel to TBI. Have swapped out injector and fuel pressure regulator with no effect. Checked injector wires. One wire come straight from fuse, have 12v. That wire also goes to ECM, ohm check good between ECM and injector. Other injector wire goes straight to ECM, also ohm check good. Fuses good.
Noticed liquid oil on part of one ECM connector. ECM is mounted under dash. No evidence of external source of oil. Does ECM have internal oil filled component?
Suspect ECM is bad, but have no fault codes.

Can find no crank sensor or mention of one in the vehicle service manual. Did find mention of a crank input to the ECM. However the wiring diagram shows it to be a voltage straight off a fuse when the ignition is in run. Replacement ECM did fix the problem.

04 Buick rendevous. Hit curb and now won't start. Fuel pump kicks on and it's getting spark but will not start. Any ideas?

Is there B+ voltage to the fuel injectors ? Blown fuse's ? Security light lit on the instrument cluster ? If the vehicle will run with you sparying starter fluid in the intake , low or no fuel pressure or injectors not spraying fuel into the engine. Hooking up a fuel pressure test gauge an checking pressure an flow would be the thing to do , not guessing ,because you hear the fuel pump turn on . That does not mean it's making fuel pressure . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .

The.check engine light is flashing and the fuel pump relay is chattering.engine won't start

dont worry about securitlight as if its not on then thats a good thing, you will need to check for spark, to do this remove a sparkplug wire from one of the coils and have someone try to start engine while you watch for the coil to spark out, if you have spark then my next step would be to check fuel. i know you said theres fuel in rail but it needs fuel pressure to start. a good way to test to see if its a fuel problem is to spary starting fluid into throtlebody and then try to start, if the engine starts and then stalls that means its a fuel problem and may be a clogged fuel filter or bad fuelpump.

Ran out of gas vehicle will not start? Vehicle turns over fine just will not start?n Help

Are you sure thats what happened or you were low on fuel and the car died and you assume you ran out, the reason i ask is if your sure you ran out then use some starting fluid spary it into the throtlebody and then try to start it, also when a fuel tank runs low or runs out of fuel it will **** up all the dirt and rust and other junk floating in the tank and may have locked the fuelpump up, hopefully by running with starting spary it will free up by having power applied to it for a while, if it doesnt start with the spray then you have another problem let me know what the results are and maybe i can help you further good luck, hope this helps.

Thought the fuel pump was bad, engine died but after hitting tank with mallet it started up and ran. replace fuel filter. started and ran a few min then died wouldnt start up. replace fuel relay still wont...

If you hit the tank and it ran? The fuel pump is bad. By striking the tank you jarred the pump, causing what mechanics call "The last ride" Peice of sound advise, Replace with ac delco pump. The zone pumps go out usaly within months if not days

No start with good fuel pressure and spark 244 vovlo

If the engine will not fire on starting fluid the problem lies elsewhere in ignition. Spark plugs etc. computer has a nofault safety start relay. meaning no spark , no fuel

No fuel no spark 1990 k5 blazer 350

Take off the distributor cap. Check the star wheel that is splined to the distributor shaft that the pick-up coil uses. Make sure this wheel is not loose on the distributor shaft. It is right above the pick-up. If it is loose, replace the distributor. This is a common problem. If it needs one, all the part stores stock the distributor.
