Hi Danny,I have a 2004 Lincoln LS, 3.0 haven't had that problem so far, have 125.000 miles on it.Here's a video I found on your sensor,a lot of things are put on our engines that are hard to get to,like the spark plugs. Lincoln ls 2001 V6 3 0 temperature sensors YouTube
The sensor is mounted to the right of the harmonic balancer at the front of the engine. On the diagram below look to the left about 3/4 of the way down. I apologize for the size, we are limited here for amount of room. If you need more help with this please ask me. Thank you for using FixYa.
Hi cmalstrom, typically crank sensors are mounted either near or behind the vibration damper (crankshaft pulley), or in one side of the block near the bottom. The sensor will have a connector plugged into it with two wires. Here is a link to the part for your car Crank Sensor. he photo below shows what it looks like with the bolt, and wire connector removed. I hope this helps. :)
My car is stalling to start. If I just hold the key, it will eventually catch and go ahead and crank. I've changed the crank sensor. Fuel pump is good. Any other ideas?
