The first thing you should check whenever your car has a P0496 code is your gas cap-make sure it's not loose because a loose gas cap can trigger a P0496.l
These codes have nothing to do with instrument cluster !
DTC P0420: Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 1 , Catalytic coverter is bad ,
DTC P0496: Evaporative Emission System Flow During Non-Purge
Evap emissions purge solenoid is bad more then likely . Your best bet , take it back to where you got it .

The P0496 DTC code is a generic code which applies to all vehicle makes.
A quick search on the 'net shows that this code seems to be more common
with GM (Chevy, Pontiac, etc.) vehicles. In Acura, Honda, Hyundai, Kia,
and Mazda vehicles, this code is described "EVAP system high purge
flow" which is the same thing. try use maxiscan us703 to clear the fault code.
