Where is the fuel filter located ?
Fuel filter is under the truck...tucked in along the rail....I have included a picture for reference.

The Fuel filter should be along the frame on drivers side under cab towards back on extened cab it's silver about 4 to 5".

assuming this is a 5.7L 2WD... Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, driver side of transmission, mounted on frame rail in fuel line

Lay on your back and slide under you truck.The filter should be supported by your frame right under the seating area or close to it. Make sure you have a couple of rags and a drain pan before you take it loose, it is under some pressure and will leak some gas. Eye protection is also a good idea.
