SOURCE: central locking, electric windows and

I had the same problem and it was the fuse. I don't remember the number, but it has the symbol for the dome light and that fuse also controls the windows and locking system.

yeah, and if that ever doesn't work, it's probably a grounding issue. it's pretty common

SOURCE: Radio Does not work.Door locks only work when ignition is on

i had a similar problem on my ford probe. i found that the fixed live to the radio had split. it left me with only switched power from the ignition. over time it shorted out and i lost radio, central locking and dash lights. i replaced the fuse in the back of radio and had to have the wiring checked! oddly when it was checked over no other faults were found apart from the split live.i replaced the live feed, reconnected the battery and everything was fine. Dont know if this helps but u never know. Good Luck

2008 Kia Rio interior lights and clock wont turn on

You are right... You will need to check your fuses. You can buy a fuse puller and pull each one out to check to see if the metal bar is separated or you can often times just tell by looking at it. Most interior fuses is on drivers side .

My mazda tribute 2003 radio, interior lights, central locking system not working. I just put on ignation one day and heard a clicking sound and they all went off..what could be the issue? Fuses have been...

You still have a fuse or power down issue if clocks reset all the time recheck all fuses with a multi meter and make sure they are good sometimes looking at them is not good enough. If you don't know how to use an ohm meter Google it ok.

Radio, clock, interior light and central locking not working

This is as a result of a short occurring most likely in the radio harness.

It happened me while working on a customers car. In my case checked all fuses and they all appeared fine, both those under the hood/bonnet and those underneath the steering wheel.

After studying the workshop electrical schemmatics for the car it appears that the clock, interior lights, central locking receiver and radio permanent live/battery are all on the one line.

In effect damage had occurred after the internal fuse panel, therefore all fuses were ok and supplying power across them, but at some point after there was a break in the wire.

However you DO NOT need to remove dash and or replace harnesses to rectify.

Look at the fuse panel underneath the steering wheel. Slot 18 (bottom RHS) and you will see in raised plastic 'BACK UP'. Inserting a 10A fuse here will restore the interior lights, radio, clock and your central locking.

There is a small plastic piece in the way which prevents a fuse going in. Simply use a thin pair of pliers, scissors or a screwdriver (or similar tool) to break this and all pieces of it away until you are able to insert the 10A mini blade fuse.

Problem Sorted!

(I believe the fact this back up exists is because the designers of electrical system at mitsibushi realised it had shortcomings or this would be a potential problem - and included the back up for such an occurence)

Electrical Problem

This sounds like a bad Earthing point off the ignition, fuse boards or battery, check ALL connections to the battery and earthing connections througout the vehicle, a long process, OR, you can take it to a vehicle electrician and pay them, the easiest solution is the latter.
