Re: Service 4 wheel drive message comes on and no lights...
Often lights under a dash or indicators just blow out bulbs. If more than one thing isn't lighting and are centralized check fuses to see if its blown. Bulb or fuse. IMHO. MIGHT be a sensor on tranny too. Hope not.

problem with 4wd module if u keep driving u will more than likely blow up the transfer case and or tranny when the vehicle shows or is in 2w hi pull the fuse until repair or replacement can be make
I have this problem too, from time to time, it won,t act up for the dealership, when the service message is on I can shut the truck off and come back later and the hubs have turned in and the service light is off and the 4 wheel is fine, it is a '07 gmc 2500 hd
Wheel hub bearing . When the ABS see's a problem will disable traction control an ABS an will turn on RED brake light as well . Fluid level has nothing to do with it .
SERVICE STABILITY
Refer to ABS Description and Operation in Antilock Brake Systems
check fuse and relay to switch if power to switch retest switch new doesnt mean not defective if no power check connections and wiring for damage or breaks
