Loss of power

Hi
My 325 tds was smoking and gave off lots of black smoke. I had the injectors cleaned and the injector pump over hauled. One red and white wire from the air flow meter was burnt...I had it replaced. The excessive smoking has stopped but I am experiencing big loss of power and much higher consumption. Please advise?
Many thanks

2005 diesel smart car starts then dies after a few seconds. changed pump. fuel filter, pressure sensor, cleaned air intake including turbo. Has good fuel pressure. cleaned injectors, have good spray.

black smoke = excessive fuel = bad injector tips , low injector pressure , turbo not working properly
take the car to an accredited diesel specialist professional for a pump pressure and injector pressure test, injector calibration and tip replacement

VW Caddy Mk2 1.9SDI, engine hunting with black smoke from exhaust.

Hi mate

I have 3 VWs and 2 Audis the VAGCOM but before you go out and spend a ton do the following

Change fuel filter
Get you a can of Seafoam

Since my tanks are only 14 gallons I used half of it every 6 months to keep injectors cleaned.

But because you have so much black smoke I will do the full can on a tank of fuel. Give it a drive it will smoke white a bit while it clears all the all junk. If that don't help that injected went to VW injector heaven.

Good luck

My nissan 2.4i hardbody fuel injectors are spraying constantly at the same time, causing the engine to consume a lot of petrol and loose power in the process and produce black smoke on the exhaust. What...

faulty fuel distribution leads to the fuel injector pump assembly , I would guess ? something is bust inside it ,,,,,? loss of power and balck smoke is from poor burn . Check fuel wet spark plugs ?
This is a logical guess

Suspect cracked injector(s). I drove a truck with cracked injector and it billowed black smoke. Power loss can be anything from a sensor to a clogged filter. try changing the fuel filter.

2002 2500hd 6.6 duramax diesel is blowing smoke and has loss of power. Is this the injectors or piston rings?

TECHNICAL
Subject:
Engine Coolant Loss with No Visible Leaks (Reseal Injector Sleeve)

Some owners may comment on engine coolant loss with no visible leaks. Excessive white smoke or a coolant type odor coming from the exhaust pipe, along with low coolant levels, may indicate coolant in the combustion chamber.
Cause
Condition may be caused by engine coolant entering the cylinder due to a dirty or damaged seal between the fuel injector sleeve and the cylinder head.

If it's black smoke, you could have a faulty or dirty EGR valve and may not be closing 100%. Remove the EGR valve and clean it with spraying carb cleaner and reinstall after inspecting the valve can move without any binding. Goo luck and hope this helps.

2001 E220 CDI exhaust tail pipe black smoke on acceleration

Black smoke is almost always an indication that the air/ fuel mix (ratio), is too rich. I would try to find out if the just cleaned the injectors or were they replaced. Cleaning injectors and sometimes leave irregularly shaped orifices. Besure the air filter is clean. This can effect mix also.
Good Luck and hope this helps.
