Sounds like the Gas filter. Fairly easy fix. Locate gas tank. Follow gas line to engine, about half way usually by back door under the car, drivers side, is the small filter. Take a pic of it. Head over to car parts store. Show them what you need. It only takes a wrench and a bucket to catch a little gas.

I have the same problem, so I changed the filter and noticed there wasn't any fuel pressure so I put a new fuel pump in. Still doing same thing. But mine doesn't actually start. IT will crank and almost start and I pump the throttle, then it almost starts.

Why wont my van start or even get a spark

The most likely cause is a crank shaft sensor.

02 windstar sometimes wont start

It could be a faulty fuel pump relay. It should be in the power distribution block under the hood. Hold your finger lightly on it to feel for the click. Every time you turn the key from off to on, the relay should click-which then sends power on to the pump. Try replacing the relay or swap in a known good one, before condemning the pump.
The final test for a bad fuel pump is to check for power at the gas tank's fuel pump connector, while the engine is cranking over. Power there and no fuel pump is definitely a bad pump.

Exprees van just cranks over

I would chech the ingition module inside the distributor. It's a little black box on the bottom(inside). I'm assuming you have the correct fuel presssure coming from the fuel pump.

Have you tried the wires and plugs? I had a problem with my car after it rains, it would turn but not start. I changed the plugs and wires and it started right up.

2000 dodge 1500 van wont start then starts hard or not at all

Sounds like the IAC sensor is bad..Try this when it doesnt start instead of pumping it which wont do anything because its computer controlled hold the gas pedal to the floor. If it start its the idle air control located on the throttle plate..So rememeber the day it doesn't start hold gas pedal to floor and start it.If nothing we have different problems..Let me know and I will guide you through next steps....
