Trying to interchange a 1980/85 chevy 305,with a 1991 305 chevy.
If you have throttle body injection, carburetor or port injection. If they don't match, you have to replace the intake manifold to match the old engine. They will swap. Watch for crank an cam sensors also. The crank could be different. The cam is probably in the distributor. Swap it over.
As it is the basic 305 block the differences may be fuel injection over carburettor which may require sensor attachments but basically the engine should just slot in place.
