There is a plunger switch inside the door. It may be stuck in or bent in.

The solution to this should be obvious. You have a defective sticking switch which isn't being activated properly by the closing door. Replace the switch or drive with a WD-40 can between your legs all the time. :-)

Hi nate, jamiem has it right when you find the switch on the drivers side it is mirrored on the passenger side. If you haven't WD40 use flyspray for tempery fix until you get some, great for the house locks as well. Cheers Greg.

The fuse may have blown and fix the problem, but it is not the solution as theremust have been something that blew the fuse. Many people plug things such as inverters into the cig lighter which draw too much amperage. Just be aware of what yoi are plugging into yoir cigarette llighter. If the fuse blows right away after the plug it in...there is a short in the circuit somewhere. Good luck!

Heater blows warm on driver side and cold on passenger side defrosters dont work very well either. could it be the thermostat?

Does the car run hot or take a long time to reach temp. Not interior temp but the engine temp.It could be the blend doors on the heater system.

Buick Rendezvous Heating have Problem

Not a problem. I'm glad to help. As far as the vents, yes they run by vacuum. If the blend door or other door isn't opening or closing, you could draw cold air from one vent and warm in another.

Give it a try and let me know if you find anything. If you can't, I'll see if I can dig a vacuum diagram for the system ,may be you can find your problem

2003 Buick Rendezvous, no heat coming to the passengers side, but plenty of heat on the drivers side. A/C works great on both sides. Still blows air strong on both sides. Seems to be a common problem...

Sounds like you may have a stuck or broken blend door, could be your controls as well. Have you tried different settings (i.e. floor, front, floor+front)?
