Yes it could be the switch but you should be able to reach up under the dash and manually switch the vents by hand
SOURCE: blower vent selector switch not working
this is what is called a factory default. for safety purposes if there is a problem with the wiring in the climate control system it defaule to the defrost position so you can see out the window. this can be a pretty tough job, the whole dash may have to come off. unless you well versed in automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting, and have the right equipment, I would take it to a local automotive technician.

The ESP switch turns the electronic stability control program on and off.
The ESP assists in your maintaining control of the vehicle when the vehicle loses or is about to lose adhesion with the road surface from the front, the rear or both ends. The program includes selective braking and brake release to individual wheels.
As you have this handling/control feature, you should not run the vehicle with the ESP turned off as long as it is functioning properly. If there is a fault in the system you will normally get a warning display on the dash.

Check under dash in duct system for any vacuum hoses blown off then check under the hood on the passenger side of engine compartent. If all hoses are connected then you will have to check the heater blend door actuator and the heater blend door lever for proper operation.
