How do I change blower motor on a freelander 07 mod.

The blower motor is powered by the battery, but if everything else is working, then the battery is not a problem. There are a few things to check for a non working blower motor. 1. Fuses 2. Blower Motor Resistor 3. Blower switch 4. The motor itself.

were you getting power to the resistor before you changed it out ? are you getting power to resistor -are you getting power from switch -start from switch and work your way through the harness towards the motor [harness fuses blower ]

see the steel wire behind the speed control blower switch. it might just be loose.

blower control module bad. located near blower motor in air duct. held in with 3-7mm screws

Did you also change the connector at the same time?
If you are changing the resistor due to overheating and melting of plastic, then you need to do the connector also, or else it will repeat fail in a very short time.

Here is a step-by-step check you can do to fix it. If you are onlygetting high speed (setting 5), then most likely you have a resistorproblem, or the wiring connector to the resistor is bad. The groundwire prong being bad is a possible cause.

The motor is accessed after removing the interior roof light console. I have to warn you that Freelander sunroofs have a lot of problems. To change the motor, I think you will have to remove the roof lining as well with all that entails. The Land Rover Workshop manual has all the detail whereas the Haynes manual does not.
