How do I replace timing chain in 2006 Colorado ?

Are the cooling fans running full blast when it shuts off? If not, then fix the cooling fans first

Have any codes ? Chevy Colorado P0017 Case Study Part 1 Doesn't matter if this is a Colorado . Same on impala VVT - variable valve timing .

This is an experienced mechanic repair, not a beginner project.

Sounds like a bad battery. A number of chain auto parts stores will check it and your charging system free. Before that, if your battery has removable caps, check the water level, if it's down, fill to the bottom of the fill rings and charge the battery, if you have a battery hydrometer, all the cells should have about the same charge level, if one or more show a lot lower than the others, battery is probably bad. Hope this helps.

po300 is a general missfire code if i rember right. there is more than likely an install procedure that will require you to clear all cods ( even if there is no code preasent ) before you install the new part or failure of those parts can happen

No, it can not be disabled.
The theft system is indicating a short term theft issue.
Have you added any "after market" remote start systems or alarms?
If NO.
Insert the key in the ignition, turn the key to run position ( do not start ) and leave it in that position for 10 minutes. Cycle the key to LOCK position, count to 10, then turn the key back to run position and leave on for 10 more minutes. After the 10 minutes is up, repeat the procedure (1) more time and the security system will relearn the PASS code.
