The engine cooling fan is the big 5 bladed fan at the front of the engine compartment. and makes a very distinctive sound change when it comes on, and it comes on shortly after the car is running when the car gets hot

The engine cooling fan is the fan located on the radiator. You would not feel it through the AC. Lift the hood and the fan should be mounted to a shroud. Find the radiator by looking for the large black hoses which carry the coolant from the radiator to the engine block.

The engine cooling fan is located on the front of the engine between the radiator and the engine block. You do not feel it through the ac vents.

Ac not working

A/c blend door may not be working properly

AC has barely any pressure unless on high and only getting hot air.

check the cabin air filter if equipped, Make sure that the air is not coming out of the floor vents or defrost. The door that diverts the air maybe stuck, pushing air out defrost/floor vents

Air conditioning does not work in extreme hot conditions. Travelled 6 hours last week and the air worked for 2 hours. Had been back to dealer 9 times, but they say its OK.

check that he cabin recirculating vent is in the off position as if it is not all your are doing is introducing hot air in and the ac will not be able to keep up. Next to check the ac temperature place a small thermometer in a dash vent . The ac if it is working ok will get the air down to around 15 degrees f. Remember that as the body adjusts to the drier air in the car it feels as if the ac is not cooling enough.. Try a different ac mechanic as the dealer may be trying to put you off. You may need a fan in front of the condenser to assist with cooling as the ac will cut off if the 2 pressure switches read a pressure 2 high or too low in the system

Engine cooling fan only works when ac or defrost is on

if engine at long stand still, the engine temperature will rise about 190 degrees the cooling fan suppose to automaticaly turn on when coolant temperature sensor get hot it cause its resistance decrease causing pcm to send power to coolant fan relays and cooling fans, when you turn on AC the cooling fans suppose to turn on to cool down AC CONDENSOR, IF NOT AC WONT WORK COOLING FAN COOLS DOWN REFRIGERANT SO IT CAN RECYCLE THROUGH THE SYSTEM AGAIN.your cooling is suppose to turn on when engine at a sit still if vechicle not moving as coolant temperature rises at a set point the cooling fans will turn on cool down engine.cooling fans dont turn on when you first cold stsrt vechicle unless you have AC SWITCH ON.if cooling fans dont turn on when vechicle at a long stand still or moving along slow traffic.if coolant temperature sensor been replaced and fuses and relays okay have dealership check see if pcm driver circuit working faulty pcm will cause cooling fans not to turn on.

Fans not working/Overheating

Probably the temperature sending unit...if not that the relays...they should be relatively cheap and easy to replace...

Air conditioner stop blowing in 2002 Dodge Caravan can feel cool air and vents when traveling down highway with ac power on. Just won't blow out

There is as blower motor resistor which is part of what makes your fan blow. So your fan isnt blowing but everything else works right? Thats what I would look @ first.

Increase cooling of A.C

With the A/C off and engine running and up to normal temp check the temperature at the dash vents at medium fan speed. It should be close to the outside air temp.If it's higher you have hot air from the heater leaking in the air stream to the dash vents.Next check the A/C system for a full charge...NOT OVER FILLED or UNDER CHARGED. Next check for air flow through the exterior of the condenser. ( in front of the rad.)The fan should run when the A/C compressor runs. These are the basics.
90% can be repaired with these items at 100%.

Hot air comes out of defrost vent at top dash and cold air out of

Hey, what setting is your A/C on Max AC? AC? Cycling air in vehicle or taking it from outside

The car icon on the right in this image is what I'm referring to when I say cycling air in vehicle.

Also, do you ever have cold air blowing? on any setting or any speed? if not, find your A/C fan, it is smaller the the engine cooling fan, sometimes there are 2 fans together. The AC fan should be located at the front of the vehicle and is usually electrically powered.

Also try to find your compressor, looks something like this:

is it running? is one pipe hot and one cold? (the pipes I am referring to are inlet and outlet pipes of the A/C compressor unit.)

Hope this helps, keep me posted
