I have a 2003 mustang 3.8L that is throwing 3 codes Po743, PO 750 PO755. I have just replaced the ECM and Had it flashed by the dealer along with having the keys programmed. The old computers memory went bad and would not keep the info required for the evap. monitor and a couple of other sensors. So I bought another one and replaced it myself. Ever since then the o/d off light has been flashing and the car shifts odd.
Never take your car to a dealer even if your life depends on it , they charge you to much money for anything and when they mess something up the will charge you to fix their mistake should ha got ton one on eBay the reset themselves when plugged in but they will not tell you that as long as it is from the same car

May need to clean the egr valves because if one is stuck then the other bank would be enriched to make up the difference .In order to reset the computer when your done is unhook battery and then reconnect. But realize some radios are subject to needing a code to make them work again because of a theft sensor. Here are some a few sensors and what happens when the don't work right.
ECT sensor
symptoms
Potential Symptoms
Symptoms of a P0118 could include:
* Very poor fuel economy
* A no start condition
* Vehicle may start, but run very poorly, blowing black smoke, running very rough and misfiring
* Illumination of MIL
TPS sensor
Symptoms of a P0121 trouble code could include:
* Malfunction Indicator Lamp
(MIL) illumination (Check Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light)
* Intermittent stumble on acceleration or deceleration
* Blows black smoke on acceleration
* No start
EGR valve
Usually a fault in the control circuit, will leave no noticeable symptoms other than the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. However, if the EGR control solenoid
is stuck open due to debris, etc. the code may be accompanied by misfire under acceleration, rough idle, or engine dying altogether.
po171
You will more than likely not notice any drivability problems, although there may be symptoms such as a lack of power, detonation (spark knock), and/or a hesitation/surge on acceleration.
Causes
A code P0171 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
* The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters may cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
* There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor.
These are the main ones
God Bless Greg
SOURCE: where is the ecm located at on a 2001 ford escape?
ECM is located in the engine compartment. Open the hood and before of you, in the called fire wall (up) you will see a maze of cables in a multipin conector. Unscrew it and you will find the Engine Control Module. Certainly, if you changed the engine and the ECM, the reprogramming must be executed.

P0743 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical
P0750 Shift Solenoid A
P0755 Shift Solenoid B
P0760 Shift Solenoid C
P0442 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak)
P0133 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response - Bank 1 Sensor 1
P1131 Lack of Upstream Heated Oxygen Sensor Switch -Sensor Indicates Lean -Bank 1
The transmission has a problem with shifting, and the evaporative emission system has a small leak, the O2 sensor has a problem on Bank 1 Sensor 1 either in the sensor or wiring.
