My truck did not come from factory with a cigarette lighter. want to install one so I can use the port. which fuse block will it go to?
I suggest installing a 12 volt accessory outlet . The part can be purchased at any local auto parts store for about $10.00. The part must be installed by a professional . The red wire goes to you vehicles battery +terminal ( must have a fuse in line). The black wire goes to - terminal of your Battery. Good luck

Probably best to install whole new circuit, such as from ignition switch ON position (or straight from battery if you want it always hot) thru fuse of amps you think yu will need and then to lighter.

In the junction box, usually to the left of the steering wheel. Labeled (generally) courtesy or cigar.

your cigarette lighter works off of a fairly high amp fuse check all your high amp fuses to be safe from 20 on up and chances are youll find the one. good luck
SOURCE: Interior light or cigarette lighter not working,
That's where a $5.00, 12 volt test light comes in handy. All you have to do then is touch tip on ends of fuses to see if they are good or not. No pulling fuses and no head scratching wondering which one it might be. If you have power on one side, but not the other, you found the blown fuse. It certainly is not uncommon to find the bad fuse, labeled wrong, or added in with something else that makes no sense at all.

If you have a 12v test light you can test each fuse in the fuse box. Connect the test light cable to a good ground. Turn ignition to on/run position and using the test light probe, touch one side of a fuse and then the other side. Test light should light on both sides of the fuse. If it only lights on one side of a fuse then that fuse is blown. It says the amp rating on the fuse. Check all fuses, as there could be more than one fuse blown. Replace fuses with the same rating as the blown fuse. If you don't have a test light, you can get one at any auto parts store or even WalMart has them. Shouldn't be more than 4 or 5 dollars. Hope this helps . Good luck.
SOURCE: No power to cigarette lighter. have checked and
there are 3 fuses that operate that. #42 (15 amp) power socket, #18 (10 amp) power socket relay (power socket only operates with key on) and #23 (15 amp ) Cig lighter, key on.... have you checked all 3 fuses??
