How do I get a theft light to go off in a 2008 ford focus

Jeff Armer is the Expert Auto electronics Expert on the site, but I found two ways to reset the Security System and Immobilizer.

1. Insert the key into the driver's side door lock.
2. Turn the key once, but not all the way to unlock the door. Leave the key in this position for 40-60 seconds. ...
3. Do this again, but turn the key in the opposite direction.
4. Remove the key from the door, get into your Ford, and start the engine. The system should be reset.

Do you know how your starting system works ? Do you know about the starter relay ? All power comes to an through the starter relay . The park neutral safety switch is on the transmission. Verify battery condition by turning on headlights and seeing if they are bright. If ok, the theft system may be activated. Try locking and unlocking doors with the key fob. This will usually reset the theft deterent system.
