Look on the back of the owner's manual on your stereo and it will probably have a four digit code which you can then punch into your stereo on the face of the stereo. Of course you could have jammed the CD in and then it will be tricky to pull it back out.

SOURCE: cd player seems to be jammed

Well if the cd player has a reset button push it and it might kick the cd out on it's own. But if it dont then try by removing the battery cable for 1 minute. When you power most electronics they go through a self diagnostic and might just eject the cd. If that dont work then there is only two other things you can do. 1 is to take a small pair of needle nosed pliers and CAREFULLY remove the cd. But this also takes the chance that you might hit something vital and trash the cd player! 2. Uninstall the cd player and remove the top And carefully push the cd out the same way it was put in. If you do get the cd out of the player then the first thing you should do is to put in a laser eye cleaning cd and clean the player. Then see if it comes out by itself. If it does not then it is time to buy a new cd player. KENWOOD cd players are one of the few that come with a reset button that will reset the deck and remove the cd automaticly. This is a very nice option. Good luck

SOURCE: cd in car player will NOT eject -any ideas ??

The only way to fix your problem is to have a radio repair shop take it apart. You cannot fix this on your own. Remove the radio or get a quote from a repair shop first. If you cannot find a repair shop , talk to the parts guys at you local ford dealer about sending it out for repair.

SOURCE: my cd player is not loading, neither is it ejecting cds

Hi, this is a common problem with in car cd players. the shock absorber can only protect the internals from a minimal amount of shock that will be distributed from the road and normal driving situations. there is a mechanism inside the CD player(changer) that will become unstable over time. this will allow for many mechanisms that make up the unit to loosen and separate from the original structure design, in return, allowing the lens assembly to become jammed or misaligned.

When this happens, the only option is to take to a local audio electronics store like best buy. they will have audio tech in store that can disassemble the entire device to retrieve the Cd's inside. the actual cd changer itself will have to be rebuilt or replaced.

You can also take your car to the dealership for this extraction as well.

Please rate and have a great day:)

SOURCE: Bose 6 cd changer factory installed will not function.

Some people with this issue have had some sucess disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes to reset the stereo. After re-connecting the battery, the stereo should reset and the error message should clear at which point the CD player should also function. Apart from this, a service call at a dealer or a car stereo repair specialist are the only alternatives. Best of luck.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 ford escape. The cd player won't

You have a mechanism failure on the changer which is preventing the mode of the function to return to the normal state. Hence the processor is giving out the error signal. First of all open the changer and ceck for mechanism damage. if not slowl try to rotate the load motor to return to the normal state and eject. now check the connections to the motor, the flexible line wiring may be defective. use a loop wire or test the continuity from the motor. if there is a rest switch use it for resetting, if not disconnect poweer nd power again. Some cd'smay be warped or damaged and causing to block the sensitive transport. remove of these cd's and testt again. if there is no motr drive at all then the IC of the motor drive has failed. clean and set back. hope this helps you. Good day

My 2002 mercury cougar radio cd player says cd error and i have 2 cd's in there. it also will not load or eject them. what shoud i do?!?!

sometimes blank CDs that you purchase to burn your own music on are slightly larger than the CDs used by recording studios - they can get stuck and the only solution is to remove the CD player and then remove the top and carefully work the CD/s out being careful not to damage anything inside - then do not use them again in your vehicles CD player

Cd player keeps going out when i try to play/load/reject get 'error' message

Take out #7 and #31 fuses. Start the vehicle, the radio/cd will not come on. Shut the vehicle off and replace the fuses. Start the vehicle again and you shoud hear the cd player cycling through the cds. Be patient and let it go through the process. Then play/eject/load cds. It worked for me.

2007 Toyota Yaris Stereo Won't Eject CDs

you may have to use needle nose pliers to pull them out or remove the radio and open it up and remove them also take a look at the drive belt it may have broke, there are many electrionic places that will repair it if you remove it and take it to them, most of the one i run into broke a belt or 2cds were jamed inside it.
