Click on the link, This generic spec according to bolt size and thread. A 1/4 inch bolt and up are ft lbs. I generally just tighten it up good. I realize good isn't a spec.
I did look in my database didn't see the torque spec for tensioner, itself.
Hello! tighten in the sequence shown to 44 lb ft...back the bolts off two turns and re-tighten to 44 lb ft...after tightening turn the bolts another 90 degs. in the same sequence...
just pull them up tight and dont forget to oil the bolts first so they dont corrode ,the smaller the shank of the bolt the less torque it needs so a bolt with 17mm head would be about 55 or so 19mm head 70 or so it is not rocket science tightening a bolt
engine tightening torques Main bearings Renew bolts/nuts No Main bearings Stage 1 43 Nm Main bearings Stage 2 85 Nm Big end bearings Renew bolts/nuts Yes Big end bearings Stage 1 15 Nm Big end bearings Stage 2 90°
Always use new head bolts.
1)tighten to 40ft/lbs
2)back off 1/2 turn
3)tighten back to 40ft/lbs
4)tighten an additional 90 degrees
5)tighten an additional 90 degrees.
2lt overhead cam with them horrible tappet adjusters, cast iron head but valves dont hit the head if the timing belt breaks ,but it does on the 1600 .called a pinto in america .Remember the assembly line well ,have many a fond memory of working on it and the staff canteen on night shift ,what lovely grub we got.Head bolt torque is about 80lbs because i used to pull them down to check them after the machine had tightened them up
you dont need a torque wrench....ALWAYS remember to put antisieze on the threads of the new plugs...gap them to specs...screw them dowm until the gasket (little ring by the threads) contacts the head, and then 1/2 to 1 full turn more...they dont need to be super tight....just slightly more than "snug"
