Try a new gas cap, that is usually the culprit. Around $20 on up for keyed at any part store. And easy to put on.

DTC P0440 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System
Circuit Description
The evaporative system includes the following components:
• The fuel tank
• The evaporative emission (EVAP) vent solenoid
• The fuel tank pressure sensor
• The fuel pipes and hoses
• The vapor lines
• The fuel cap
• The evaporative emission canister
• The purge lines
• The EVAP purge solenoid
The evaporative leak detection diagnostic strategy is based on applying a vacuum to the EVAP system and monitoring the vacuum decay rate. The vehicle control module (VCM) monitors the vacuum level via the fuel tank pressure sensor input. At an appropriate time, the EVAP purge solenoid and the EVAP vent solenoid turn ON, allowing the engine vacuum to draw a small vacuum on the entire evaporative emission system. If a sufficient vacuum level cannot be achieved, a large leak or a malfunctioning EVAP purge solenoid is indicated. The following conditions can cause this problem:
• A disconnected or malfunctioning fuel tank pressure sensor
• A missing, malfunctioning, improperly installed, or loose fuel cap
• A disconnected, damaged, pinched, or blocked EVAP purge line
• A disconnected or damaged EVAP vent hose
• A disconnected, damaged, pinched, or blocked fuel tank vapor line
• A disconnected or malfunctioning EVAP purge solenoid
• A disconnected or malfunctioning EVAP vent solenoid
• An open ignition feed circuit to the EVAP vent or purge solenoid
• A damaged EVAP canister
• A leaking fuel sender assembly O-ring
• A leaking fuel tank or fuel filler neck
Any of the above conditions can set a DTC P0440.

Engine dies while driving. p0443 code. happens after I get gas.

Code po443 is for EVAP purge solenoid malfunction which will cause the car to stall. Also over filling gas also causes the EVAP canister to choke with excess gas.
Please perform the following test the component failure:-
Tests/Procedures: 1. Monitor the purge solenoid for having 12v Key On Engine Running (KOER).

2. Using a voltmeter attached to the White wire, monitor for 12v to come and go.

3. Check the purge solenoid for clicking at idle. Tech Tips: If the voltage is alternating from 12-0 volts, that indicates that the ECM is trying to trigger the solenoid. If there is no clicking, the solenoid is faulty.

Computer code 455

Possible causes - Missing or loose fuel cap
- Incorrect fuel filler cap used
- Fuel filler cap remains open or fails to close
- Foreign matter caught in fuel filler cap
- EVAP canister or fuel tank leaks
- EVAP system hose leaking
- Fuel tank leaking The P0455 it's a very common code, because the code is set if the gas cap is loose or missing. Start by tighten the gas cap and clearing the code. In most cases the code can be clear by disconnecting the car battery for about 30 minutes.

When is the code detected? EVAP control system has a very large leak such as fuel filler cap fell off, EVAP control system does not operate properly. Possible symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible a noticeable fuel odor caused by the release of fuel vapors P0455 Buick Description This diagnosis detects leaks in the Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) purge line using engine intake manifold vacuum. If pressure does not increase, the Engine Control Module (ECM) will check for leaks in the line between the fuel tank and EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve under the following vacuum test condition. The vacuum cut valve bypass valve is opened to clear the line between the fuel tank and the EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve. The EVAP canister vent control valve will then be closed to shut the EVAP purge line off. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is opened to depressurize the EVAP purge line using intake manifold vacuum. After this depressurization is implemented, the EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve will be closed.
if tightening the cap or replacing the cap does not help take your car to a shop to have it diagnosed as it requires special tools/equipment to test this and get an accurate results to find what needs replacing.

- Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Solenoid Control circuit poor electrical connection
help.jpg What does this mean?
When is the code detected?
An improper voltage signal is sent to Engine Control Module (ECM) through the valve.
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
P0443 Description
The Evaporative Emission System (EVAP) canister purge volume control solenoid valve uses a ON/OFF duty to control the flow rate of fuel vapor from the EVAP canister. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is moved by ON/OFF pulses from the Engine Control Module (ECM). The longer the ON pulse, the greater the amount of fuel vapor that will flow through the valve.

Obd code p0457 fuel cap replaced mil reset defect not cleared connection checked ok

The code is for a large leak in the EVAP system such as a loose or missing gas cap. But it could also mean a loose or missing hose to the canister or other leak in the tank.
The computer vents the tank several times an hour while the engine is running, and it checks the system by pressurizing the gas tank. If the tank will not hold pressure the code is set.
You may have to check the top of the tank where the fuel pump gasket is, as well as the vent lines to the front of the car.
A mechanic would perform a smoke test to look for leaks.
