It is on the top of the transmission. The transmission doesn't have a pan. You should be able to look down the side of the battery and see the sensor

SOURCE: Transmission fluid/filter change in 2000 Honda Odyssey

I would not recommend using Dexron III. Honda Odysseys are prone to transmission problems. A drain and fill with Genuine Honda Fluid is Recommended. The drain plug can be removed with a 3/8 ratchet at the bottom of the trans. The fill hole is at the top of the trans. You remove it with a socket on a long extension. The capacity is close to 3 quarts

SOURCE: no dipstick to put transmission fluid into

HI, this transmission is a sealed type. you will need to purchase a special tool from the dealership to fill this unit properly.

Contact the nearest Audi dealer for this fill tool.

SOURCE: jeep 2002 Transmission Over-Temperature

may have a bad temp sensor for trany oil, or the cooler or lines may be restricked, the oil temp has to be checked when the light comes on, this will tell if its really hot or the sensor is bad, start there.

Testimonial: "Thanks, for your take; it definitely sounds very possible thats its a bad sensor, oil appears to be ok and all fluids are ok too, bringing it in"

SOURCE: CHANGING A FUEL FILTER IN A HYUNDAI GETZ

I have an '03 Hyundai Accent 1600cc. I am told by the techies at the local dealer, the fuel filter is ON the fuel tank. You gain access to it by removing the back seat, then opening the panel beneath the back seat. Replace the filter, screw the panel back onto the floor and the job is done....

2005 dodge dakota 3.7 4 wheel drive transmission temperature light, what's causing it?

The transmission temperature warning light coming on in your 2005 Dodge Dakota 3.7 4WD can indicate several potential issues, and it's good that you've already checked the fluid and found it to be in good condition. There are a few possibilities to consider:

  1. Faulty Temperature Sensor: The most common cause of a transmission temperature warning light is a faulty transmission temperature sensor. This sensor measures the temperature of the transmission fluid and sends this information to the vehicle's computer. If the sensor is malfunctioning, it may trigger the warning light unnecessarily. The sensor you're looking for might be called the "transmission temperature sensor" or "transmission fluid temperature sensor." It's often located in or near the transmission fluid pan.
  2. Wiring or Connector Issues: Sometimes, the issue might not be the sensor itself but the wiring or connector leading to it. Damaged or corroded wires or a loose connector can disrupt the sensor's function and trigger a warning.
  3. Overheating: While you mentioned that the fluid wasn't excessively hot, it's possible that the transmission briefly overheated during your drive, causing the warning light to activate. Overheating can occur due to heavy loads, towing, or driving in high-temperature conditions. However, if the temperature returned to normal quickly, it may not be a cause for concern.
  4. Intermittent Issue: Sometimes, electrical sensors can develop intermittent faults. If the warning light doesn't come back after the incident and the transmission continues to operate normally, it could have been a momentary glitch.
Since you've been unable to find the specific sensor through local auto parts stores, it might be best to contact a Dodge dealership or a specialized auto parts supplier. They may have access to the exact sensor you need.

Additionally, you can consult your vehicle's service manual or contact a Dodge technician for guidance on locating and replacing the sensor.

If the issue persists or if you experience any abnormal transmission behavior, it's a good idea to have the vehicle inspected by a professional technician who can use diagnostic tools to check the sensor's functionality and address any underlying issues.

Do I have to change power steering fluid in hyundai getz 2007 done 55,000 kms?

Too early, unless you took more than 10 years to reach that mileage. Consider both car age and distance travelled, I woud guess at least 75 - 100.00 km or every 7 - 10 years (whichever comes first), but do consult your maintenance manual - should that give shorter intervals, these apply.

Consequences are way less severe than failing to change motor or transmission fluid.

I have a 2009 hyundai sonata v6 should I have the auto transmission flushed. I have been told I would have problems after?

Transmission services are part of routine maintenence. Flushing the system on a high mileage vehicle where the fluid has been neglected can cause issues as it stirs up and removes deposits of varnish and worn band/clutch debris through out the system. Most vehicles are usually drain and fill. Others are pan removal with filter and fluid change. Not many companies still do "flushes" but will recommend one of the above services be performed during routine maintenence

MY Hyundai Veracruz engine (3.8L) idle too low (600 Rpm) in cold weather (less than 40F), when engine is warm and transmission on drive and vehicule stop. This cause a undesirable vibration. When outside...

It may be no engine thermostat which keeps the engine temperature at a constant 180F usually. Or you have some bad connections to a temperature sensor that sends temperature information to the Ecu (brain) and controls fuel. Corrosion causes
bad connections If you have an auto parts store scan your error codes that will be a better diagnostic. It is possible a problem with transmission fluid level or quality of fluid.

Change transmission oil

Hi Peter, If your Camry has an automatic transmission, for normal driving the auto fluid should be changed every 40,000km, there should be a drain plug on the transmission pan that takes a 10mm hex drive or 17mm socket to undo. You have two choices after driving the car onto ramps or jacking up and supporting on jack stands so you can safely get under the car. 1 - You can loosen and remove the transmission drain plug to let the auto fluid drain out into a container (careful not to lose the sealing washer) refit and tighten the drain plug and washer again. Remove the auto transmission fluid level dip stick, using a suitable funnel pour about 2.5 litres of suitable new auto trans fluid back into the transmission via the dipstick tube (I believe they take dexron 2 of 3 type fluid). Start the car and move it onto a level surface. With the engine running, handbrake on and brake pedal applied, shift the transmission from park through every gear selection slowly into 1st gear, then back to park. Leave engine running. Wipe the dip stick & insert it back into the dip stick tube fully, remove and check where the fluid level mark is on the end of the dipstick. If the fluid level indicates low or does not show at all, add 100ml of additional fluid and recheck the level till the fluid reaches the full mark on the dipstick. 2 - The second option is everything in the first option but includes replacement of the transmission filter and pan gasket. I would only do this if the car had travelled high km or the pan gasket was leaking. At the point where you've drained the old fluid into a container and refitted the drain plug and washer, remove all the transmission pan bolts and the transmission pan. If you have the time to let the fluid drain overnight prior to removing the pan it's a good idea because once the pan is removed, fluid will continue to drip from the transmission. You'll need to remove the old pan gasket, some may be stuck to the pan and or transmission, a razor blade type gasket scraper can be good for this but be careful not to scratch either surface when cleaning off the old gasket. Remove the bolts/nuts that hold the transmission filter onto the bottom of the transmission. Careful caus more fluid may drain out of the transmission or filter once removed. Fit the new filter and filter tube gasket & bolts/nuts, careful not to over tighten. Fit new pan gasket, pan and bolts. Continue with fluid filling procedure from option 1. I would suggest you only use option one and remember to double check the drain plug is tight. Also, remember to dispose of the old fluid correctly. Cheers

Transmission cooler light comes on periodically. When car is allowed to sit for a few minutes light goes out and shifts normal

See 3rd dot point. It sounds like transmission fluid is getting hot and triggering the warning light. Check fluid level. Check trans cooler and cooler lines to be sure trans fluid is flowing through cooler to transmission. Transmission fluid temperature (TFT) sensor
The TFT sensor is located on the internal wiring harness to the solenoid valves in the fluid pan.
It is a resistor and measures the transmission fluid temperature.
The transmission fluid temperature is used by the PCM for the following functions:
  • Applying the torque converter clutch is not permitted until the transmission fluid reaches a certain temperature,
  • engagement of 4th gear is prevented in extreme sub-zero temperatures until the normal operating temperature is reached,
  • if the transmission fluid temperature is excessive, a pre-set fixed shift curve is selected and the torque converter lock-up clutch is closed in "2", "3" and "4"; of the transmission warning indicator is activated. No substitute signal is available for the TFT sensor.
