Smack it with a hammer once you get it off truck unbolted of course then either parking brake cable stuck or cylinder dead and needs replace

Attach the end of the old cable to the new cable and pull it across the fuel tank.

Replace the copper gasket or rubber brake hose,whatever is leaking.

There is what is called a shift interlock mechanism. It is suppose to keep you from putting it into gear withut putting your foot on the break.

Do a quick test. See if your brake lights come on when you press the brake peddle. If they do, you will have to go into the wireing of the brake switch and see if power is coming out of the switch to the interlock solenoid. If power is going to the solenoid, then you have a bad solenoid.

sounds like fuseblock underhood is faulty..front control module is on fuseblock

it is your interlock solenoid or switch on your brake pedal. This keeps you from starting your car in anything but park.
