I cant find the oil dipstick on my bmw 118i

I have checked under bonet i cant see the dipstick

Freakiest thing. You don't have one. You have to trust the "iDrive" level meter.

Hi, I rccently replaced. the oil and filter on my 2010 bmw 118i and now the low oil pressure lamp comes on at start up and it shows -290 km on the service info. I used shell helix x8 oil.

If the oil is the correct viscosity and you added the correct amount, suspect the oil filter. If you continue to have trouble or just want to say hi leave a testimonial, I hope this helps, take care.

check if the switch in the bonet is damaged (sometimes working under the bonet you could damage the switch and miss it)installing a new battery should not affect the alarm
