My 2009 bmw 328i with 74.000 have the code p1774,

Why would you change the crankshaft position sensor on a code for the brakes/transmission?

P1774 code description Low Coast Brake Solenoid Valve is turned "ON" or "OFF" by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in response to signals sent from the Park & Neutral Position (PNP) Switch, Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), and Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor (Throttle Position Sensor). Gears will then be shifted to the optimum position. The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) will set when the Low Coast Brake Solenoid Valve does not respond from the TCM signal.

Should I replace water pump?

Hi Fred:
Tricky question.
Personally, I would happily head out on my trip.
That said, depending on the mileage already on the vehicle, and the maintenance history, I would be checking the tires and brakes, check ALL fluids, doing an oil change, and replace the air cleaner and wiper blades.
Coast to coast is really less than most yearly distance traveled so It's the adventure to consider.
Cheers, and enjoy.

2001 dodge ram

Sounds like a faulty throttle position sensor (TPS). It is located on the throttle body exterior on the end of the throttle plate shaft. It has an electrical connector on it with three wires. The principle of operation is a carbon track with near zero volts at one end and 5 volts at the other and a central connection, corresponding to the position of the throttle shaft, that sweeps along the carbon track returning a voltage to the ECU.
