My driver's-side rear indicator (blinker) does not work when I turn on my headlights. I've swapped the LED bulb from one side to the other and the passenger side works perfectly with either bulb. The driver's side does not work as soon as I turn on the headlights. When the headlights are off, no problems. I've checked/replaced all light-related fuses. I've narrowed the problem down to either the wiring harness or the "Electronic Turn Signal Flasher". I can't seem to locate the flasher so I can test or replace it. Need assistance locating it. Quick side note: my vehicle has a light harness from U-Haul spliced into the turn signals (on both sides). That was done 5 years ago. Could this be a contributing factor? Thanks Lionel
That Uhaul harness is the first thing to check. Next would be the ground wire/s at the rear lamp. Your problem is that when the head lights are off, the rear light is grounded the the headlights(no power to the headlights). When you turn the head lights on, you loose the ground because the headlights over power the rear ground. Your flasher is not the problem. Use the OHM part of the meter(lowest setting) to check for ground. Anything above 5 Ohms is a wire replacement.
