First off you should have hooked up a scan tool of some kind- code read , checked for codes ,first step ! If no codes an the scan tool does communicate with the engine ECU (engine Computer ) then view wiring diagrams for the ignition system an fuel system an test with a voltmeter for battery voltage to these systems. That is how to diagnose , not just changing parts.

Does the vehicle security light come on , go off after a few seconds when the key is turned on ? When trying to crank the vehicle does the security light flash ,stay on steady ?

Your first problem is no power to the coil/s. This could be the ignition switch or wiring from there to the coils. With ignition on, you should have 12 volts to the coil/s. The ECM grounds it out with help from the crank sensor. If you turn the ignition switch on and have the dash gauges and hear relays kick in, then check for bad/broken wires. Several things come on while in the run position. Like radio, blower fan, lights/gauges in the dash. If they don't come on, first would be checking the switch, then wires. You need a volt ohm meter, electrical shcematics.

Sounds to me like a anti theft issue or if the car had been hit some will shut down fuel and spark to prevent fire some have a reset switch or button you push in trunk

2007 Mazda CX-7 2.3 disi turbo. Crank no start tachometer does not move when I try to turn the car over.. No RPMs. Help please

2.3 L MZR L3-VDT DISI turbo I4
contradicted at cranks no start and RPM zero.
the starter spins the engine 300 RPM cranking but most dash tacho's are dead below 500. sure.
Cranks ,then starts and then runs and for more than 10 seconds.
that is a serial process on engines. it may start and stall at 10 seconds.

no crank has 6 to 8 causes
cranks fast but will not start has up 50 causes.
we can not hear your starter spin here, nor see crank spin fast.
we are blind and deaf (<< ask us is not easy/)
lets go with cranks fast and will not start.( i chose it)
well , key on and the IMMO lamp must nut be Unhappy per the lost users guide,in the glove box.
the easy answer is this, using only physics, tests. using TOOLS

1: engine is dead. and compression or leakdown tests fail, compression below 150psion one or more cylinders.(4)
2: next is spark is 1 or more cylinder.s(all 4) a test,
3: bad fueling , non, or bad fueling, and pump sounds mean little none. pump pressure matters, another tool;. PSI

watch,do and then ask better questions.
cranks means only that the starter works and spins the engines crank shaft fast (keep the battery charged at all times on any dead car)
the fuel dribble test only matters if DRY..a pressure gauge test is the only tool to use. for spec pressure.(ask)

My car won't start, replaced the fuel pump, crankshaft sensor, camshaft sensor, and spark plugs. It rolls over but won't fire any suggestions

It sounds like you have checked the spark to the plugs? Fuel in the line has pressure? Pull the fuel pump relay and crank engine. Don't be surprised if it starts.

Engine rough idle then later on couldn't start, cranks okay but couldn't start. What would be the likely cause?

Crankshaft position sensor an Ignition control module most likely , could all so be a fuel problem ! Check for spark at plugs if no spark ignition module or crank sensor . check for fuel pressure , no fuel pressure , fuel pump , fuel pump driver module some makes !

2002 yukon denali xl wont start

Does the starter crank the engine over? If so, check for spark on a spark plug wire when cranking. If you have a strong blue spark, ignition is probably good. Check fuel pressure. Do you hear the fuel pump turn on for 2 seconds when turning key to on?

2001 dodge stratus 2.7L wont start. Starter, battery, fuel pump is good. Help!

Do the basic tests. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If spark everywhere use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse.
Any applicable trouble codes?

My 89 jeep cherokee won't. Start it will turn over

what motor? is the coil producing spark?? If so, check the fuel pressure, if the fuel pressure is low drop the tank, repace the pump and also replace the filter (located on the frame forward of the tank). If the coil is not producing spark, check for shorts or opens in the circuits as well as the IGN fuses. If there is NO fuel pressure at all check the fuel pump fuses and make sure the fuel pump is plugged in and there are no opens in the circuit

1994 Chevrolet Astro It takes 2 to 5 cranks to start. Each crank turns the cars electrical stuff on and revs the engine however it doesnt start. What is the issue?

Either you are not getting spark or not getting fuel. A bad crankshaft position sensor would cause no spark at all. You can pull one spark plug, place it back on the plug wire. Lay the plug electrode next to a metal surface. Have someone else crank over the engine while you observe for spark. You should see a spark jump from plug to the metal surface. (plug electrode should be no more than 1/4" away) If you don't have spark, put the plug back in and move on to the next plug and try that one. (the correct way is to use a spark tester) If you have no spark in any plug, you may want to test the crankshaft position sensor with an ohmmeter. You can also use a meter to test power at the ignition module.
If you find that you do have spark in every plug, then it's possible that you don't have fuel. There is a fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail. There is a cap and a valve. With the key in ON position ,you can place rag over the test port, press in on the valve and there should be fuel that comes out meaning there is fuel pressure. (the correct way is to use a fuel pressure gauge if you have one)
If you find there is no fuel pressure, turn the key off and back on again. You should hear the fuel pump. If you can hear the fuel pump, then it is working. That means you may have a plugged fuel filter or faulty fuel pressure regulator. If you do not have hear the fuel pump, check the fuse and fuel pump relay. You can test the relay and a fuse with an ohmmeter on the ohm setting. You can also use a voltmeter and check power to the relay and also to the fuel pump to test for 12 volts. If you have power to the pump but the pump is not running, it is likely faulty. If you don't have power to the pump, then either the relay or fuse is bad. If they test out ok, then test power from ECM.

These are the most common causes of a no start. If you have any bad sensors of any sort, it would likely set of the check engine light. Then the computer should be tested for engine codes which can be done with a scan-tool.
