Did you also replace the spark plug wires? The burn lines on the ceramic would indicate that it's jumping fire. Are the burn lines on ALL the plugs or just one or two? If you look closely at the wires in the dark, you will be able to see the spark jumping to ground if the wires are bad. If you have already replaced the wires and still have that issue, it's possible that you have a bad coil pack or ignition module.

What causes engine to accelerate without gas?

Possibilities:
  1. Leak in intake manifold or deteriorated throttle body gasket;
  2. Loose or missing throttle body spring;
  3. Defective idle air bypass valve;
  4. Bad throttle position sensor;
  5. Bad EGR valve or EGR position sensor;
  6. Evil aliens.
If there is, or has recently been, a CHECK ENGINE light showing, have the stored codes read out. They may reveal the culprit or, at least, indicate where to begin looking.

Car lurches and bucks, rpms erratic on acceleration on hills

You could have any of these problems:
1) vacuum leak- broken air hose or disconnected air hose.
2) water in the gasoline- add a water remover to you gas tank.
3) bad or disconnected spark plug wire(s).
If this were my Forester, I'd take it to a mechanic who has a electronic engine tester..

Hoses and belts to replace on 1991 Buick Park Avenue

If it ain't broke--don't fix it! Only one belt, so just look to see if white thread lines are apearing on smooth side--if yes, you should change it( also look for missing ribbing on other side). I assume you are reffering to radiator hoses--look for cracking in the rubber( mainly by the clamps) replace if they are there.
