Fuse blowing on Mitsubishi L300 2.4l motor, manual gearbox. Fuse 15, indicators, fuel guage, tacho. Found to be short in reversing light switch in gearbox. Initial disconnect of switch stopped fuse blowing, renew switch restored reverse lights
Put in a fuse that's rated 5 amps higher than the ones you are currently using. This won't harm anything. Otherwise you may need to install a current dampener on the line.
I've had this problem for over a year. This did fix it but slightly different set up in UK models (2005 L200 4Work). Fuse box in driver side footwell has an empty raised fuse block numbered '5' in the manual. Inserting the spare 10amp fuse in this slot bypasses the problem.
indicator wires are usually yellow for right and green for left if not go straight to plug on the back of the indicator, use a test light to find live wire.the colour of the wire should'nt change right to the fuse box or relay
