I assume you are talking about the door card, or cardboard trim cover inside the door.
Step 1, remove all screws. There will be one screw holding down the handle trim plate. Pull back the handle and check carefully. If your car has manually operated windows, you have to remove the window winder handle. Push the card in around the handle trim to expose the handle stem. There is a clip that holds the handle in place which you have to "fish" out with a thinnish length of wire. Be careful, if this clip gets lost, which it easily does, it is difficult to replace. If your car has electric windows, the switch should come off with the card, no problem. There might also be one or two screws at the bottom of the door card holding down the corners.
Step 2, OK, screws all removed. Now, very carefully, insert a flat screwdriver, the bigger the better, in between the card and the the door. Carefully move the screwdriver in any direction until it jams up against the plastic clip that holds the card onto the door, and force the clip out. It is a good idea to place a wad of cloth between the screwdriver and the metal of the door to prevent damage to the paint. Once the clip pops, it becomes easier to pop the next one and then the next and so on. There should be at least eight or ten plastic clips that hold the card down, and if you can get them all out without breaking one, you are extremely lucky.
Step 3. Carefully (see how often I use this word) lift the card upward to unhook it from the top edge of the door. It might be necessary to unhook the door handle pull rods before removing the card. This is done by unhooking the plastic hooks that retain the rods. It's very easy to unhook, much more difficult to get back in place.
Have fun.

Key will only go in part way in the drivers side door and the door will not stay shut

you will need to remove the lock and catch. you will probably find the pin has fell out. but you will still need to remove the lock to fix it back in place. remove the door card you will need some duck tape to put the cover back on that covers the inside door cover. remove the lock and. also when the key part is remove soak it in some oil for a few hours then clean off and try it before putting back into the door.

Passenager window wont go up, need schematics of the door panel to take it off to see what the problem might be. (1996 Ford thunderbird LX)

You need a flat head screwdriver to remove the light cover and the door lock and window switch. and a phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws, the one under the door/window switch could also be a small bolt. (When removing the door/window switch cover pull back on the door handle or you will scratch the cover when removing it). Then pull straight up on the hand bar and you can slip door/window switch cover through the hole.

Best way to removed driver side door

I have a 1994 Grand Caravan and have done this several times.
1. Disconnect Negative side of Battery.
2. Remove all screws.
a. There are screw covers to remove first before
gaining access to the screws. I use a pick
driver.
b. One in recess of the door arm rest. Round
Cover.
c. One is behind the door latch release. Pull/Hold
open to gain access. Then remove the cover
d. Two are located on the Map pocket. Round
Covers.
e. One is located up near the side mirror.
f. One is located on the upper portion on the door
handle. It has a square cover.
3. Pry up and out the window/mirror adjustment cover and unplug the connection.
4. Use a wide flat screw driver to carefully pry on the bottom then side edges of the trim panel to "pop" the retainers out of the door.
5. Once all retainers have been freed: Lift up the door trim up off the upper ledge.
6. Peel back (but do not entirely remove) the rubber/plastic watershield cover.
7. Disconnect all wire connections to the door trim.
8. Pry off the plastic retaining clip to the door handle metal bar and remove the "L" bar out of the plastic connector.
9. Set the Trim Panel off to the side.
10. Remove all wire holders from the door.
11. Move the wires inside and towards the front lower access hole.
12. Peel back the rubber wire guard between the door and the A-pillar frame.
13. Pull out as much wire as possible out of the door and let hang..
14. While someone else is supporting the door: (If no one can help: with the door fully open: use a jack and block of wood to support the bottom outer edge of the door
a. I use a Breaker Bar or long Wrench
Extention and Hammer or Mallet.
b. Tap Up the Bottom Hinge Pin first.
c. I also use a flat Screw to tap up the Pin Head.
d. Remove the Bottom Door Hinge Pin.
e. Remove the Upper Hinge Pin the same way.
f. Make sure the Door is being held in place.
15. Remove any left over wires out from the door.
16. Carefully move the door away from the hinges.
Good Luck!!
If you have not replaced the Hinge Pins, and Guides, now would be a good time to do it!!

Do i have to remove the door panel to take off door speaker covers? Speaker covers are starting to rust and want to remove all 4 speaker covers on door just to paint them. Trying to remopve without...

I believe that your speaker covers are clipped in through the back of the panel and won't come out through the front without breaking some of the clips. The proper way would be to remove the door panels and remove the covers out the back of the panel.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the panel

How do i get back inside door cover off

This will be the same for the back even though it is for the front door....you just don't have the master switch...and a tool that looks like a flat tip screwdriver with a slot in it will help to remove the door panel without you breaking off the tabs that secure the panel to the door. You can get it at any auto parts store for about $6.00:

  1. Open the front door glass so that the distance from the top of the front door glass to the upper part of the front beltline molding is 8.3 inch (210mm).
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Open the inner handle cap using a small screwdriver, then remove the screw.
  4. Remove the inner handle cover.
  5. Disconnect the door lock switch connector.
  6. Remove the inner garnish.
  7. Remove the cover, then remove the screw.
  8. Remove the lens cover, then remove screw.
  9. Disengage the clips from the front door using a fastener remover.
  10. Pull the front door trim upward, then disengage the tabs from the front door.
  11. Disconnect the power door mirror switch connector and the power window main switch connector.
  12. Remove the courtesy light.
  13. Remove the front door trim.
  14. Remove the switch panel from the front door trim
  15. Remove the hole cover.
  16. Remove the screws.

I backed n2 my husband toyota and dented the

If you haven't already solved this, Start at the rear corner light. Next to the liftgate there are two plastic covers to open with a flat screwdriver. Remove the two phillips screws and pull light straight back firmly to remove the light. Let it hang. Remove the two phillips screws holding the metal track cover behind the light on the side of the van. Open the door, and remove one track cover screw with a 10 mm socket at front of cover looking back in door jam. Close door and slide track back about an inch and then pull straight out from the side of the van revealing slider track. Hope this helped
