SHOULD BE NEXT TO THE MOTOR MOUNT ON THE BLOCK AND IT IS NOT STAMPED IN LIKE YOU THINK.. THEIR IS A SMALL FLAT SPOT AND IT IS ENGRAVED . SO BE CAREFUL WHEN CLEANING IT OFF.. NO HARD BRISTLE WIRE BRUSH. USE A TOOTH BRUSH TO CLEAN OFF .. IT IS ENGRAVED.. I KNOW. IT MUST BE EASIER THAN PUTTING A STAMP ON THEM NOW..

SOURCE: Where is the engine number

For 2001 Ford Mustang 3.8L SFI 6cyl engine, with which your specific vehicle is equipped, can be most easily identified by the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), located on either the VIN tag, mounted in the upper left-hand corner of the instrument panel, or on the vehicle certification label, located on the driver-s side door pillar. The engine identifying code is the 8th digit of the VIN. The engine VIN codes are as follows:

Engine block stamped number location

its by the motor mount bracket area.. on the block.. its really hard to see. so you need to clean it off really really good.. and don't use a wire brush for they are not stamped in the deep.. they are barely their... should be a flat spot in front of the mount on the block.. get plenty of light and a some really good glasses to see it.. it looks like they used a engraving tool on it.. not a stamp like we are use too .. just be careful cleaning it.. NO WIRE BRUSH... IF SO VERY VERY LIGHTLY..

Cant find engine number on 2001 v8 jeep grand cherokee

On V-8 engines, the serial number is stamped on a machined pad on the left front corner of the cylinder block.

On the six cylinder engine, build date information can be found stamped on a machined pad located on the right side of the cylinder block between the No. 2 and 3 cylinders.

Where is the fuse for a 2001 ford 4.6litre mustang(fuel fuse)

The fuse for the fuel pump is located in the power distribution box/fuse box located in the engine compartment. It is in the number 14 position and should be a 20 amp fuse (see picture below of the fuse layout). Also, I don't know if you have checked this or not but there is a fuel pump cut off switch located in the trunk of the vehicle. I gave you a picture of its location in the second picture below. This should all be in your owners manual if you have one. If you do not and would like a copy, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. I hope this helps you and good luck.

Where is engine code, or number, on block? Can engine be identified by accessories or parts attached? We have a 1985 Volvo with conversion with a Mustang engine, no idea what year it is

Check the computer they would had of put the mustang computer in it this should have a number on it. (If not )the number is located behind the timing chain cover. that means you would have to pull the water pump and timing chain cover off to get to it. and some were stamped on the inside of the block you would have to remove the oil pan. is it fuel injected 5.0 with mass air flow? I would check the computer.

Looking for the engine serial number location on 1966 ford mustang 6 cyl and how to verify matchng numbers

Here is Half an answer!! The engine serial number is located on the top surface of the engine block... near the crankcase breather pipe, front-left side of the car.
Except for the information that is provided on the vehicle certification label, I am not aware of "matching numbers" on a 6 cylinder Mustang...
