I drive a 07 Grand Prix and the low beams randomly went out. Could not get them to come back on, but all of the other lights worked (inside, parking, and high beams). found a forum online that recommended replacing the fuse/thing at location #35 in the fuse box under the hood. It worked immediately!! Got the part at Advanced Auto parts for $35 dollars.

The headlight replacement procedure.:---
  • Apply the parking brake and open the hood. The head is attached by thumb shaped screw. You will see the thumb screw on the upper inboard corner of the turn signal assembly Remove the screw with the screwdriver.Pull the turn signal assembly outward away from the fender and then disconnect the bulb.Turning the socket and wire 1/4- counterclockwise. How do you remove the headlight assembly on a 05 Pontiac G6 GT to replace headlight bulb? When unlocking car, the bulb works, but when starting or putting car in drive light goes off. Is the bulb the...

real interesting... there should be no relation to the "drive" and the head light. current drawn by the starter causes the lights to go out or dim. Check the headlamp relay and for corrosion on connector to lamp assemblies in the engine compartment. On back of assemblies there is a large diameter plastic retainer after you remove the wire clip. Turn counter clockwise and pull back. a wire clip should retain the bulb itself

    2005 Ford Escape Headlight Condensation

most of the time the headlight assemblys are replaced because of this at my work (toyota dealeraship ) but i would try to take apart the headlight assembly very carefully by prying up the tabs and glue that attach the front to the bach then clean out and reseal, or you could try to use a clothes hanger with a small amount of cloth or paper towel taped to the end and insert through the hole where the headlight bulb goes may take some time but could save you a considerable amount of money hope this helps
