Have tried to replace the dashboard cluster and now nothing is happening car wont start just flashing a security failure message car just wont start
The problem is most likely your ignition key isn't programmed for the new cluster so what it sees is a mismatch. New clusters some with two new keys. This seems as though you would then also need a new lock cylinder in the ignition and the door. I would try to reprogram. The buttons on your keyfob must be working.
Open the driver's door and leave it open.
Put the key in the ignition. Cycle to "On." Then, turn back one "click" and turn forward again. You should do this four times, relatively rapidly.
Wait for the sound. You should hear a chime from the GEM (General Electronics Module).
Take the key out. Press any button on the keyfob.
Another chime will be heard. This means that key one is now programmed.
These steps need to be repeated if you have more than one key.
The instument pack is part of the pats. security system i guess the pack is saying pecus error, it needs to be programmed to the car so the other modules on the system recognise it, you need find someone with jaguar ids or compatiable diagnostic equipment to carry out this task.hope this helps.
