Safety systems can be surprising...my first inspection would be to check the fluid level in your brake master cylinder...the warning light may not be working...Hope this helps.

always a good safety check for brake lights functioning, but I don't think your model notices and reports a brake light out...thanks for the follow up:)

Why do i hear a dinging sound when apply brakes on 1996 dodge grand caravan ??

Noise is caused by brakes wearing. Either brakes shoes are worn, disc is out of round. Sound you hear is metal rubbing on metal, never a good sound. Contact auto repair or brake shop for repairs immediately

Dodge Grand Caravan 2009, warning sounds while turning. No lights on the dash and no warning messages.

The seat switch is sensitive and may be wearing out. The alarm dings when there is weight in the seat but seat belt is not fastened. The turn may have closed the failing seat switch.

Oil light comes on and dings when the brake is put on or the van is stopped

Oil pump is wearing out. This is not an issue as long as it only happens at idle or unless you plan to get a lot more miles out of the van.

2004 grand caravan abs brakes

Sounds like you have pushed the brake peddle to the floor after you changed the pads. This can cause major probs in the master cylinder. The brake warning light should come on if this is the trouble. Frankster016
