Most likely yes. If you can charge the battery (get it tested after charging as well) up a quick way without any special equipment to find out if your alternator is charging is with as many electrical loads turned off as possible (heater/a/c blower, headlights, heated seats, stereo etc...) Start the engine (after battery is charged) remove one of your battery cables while the engine is running, if the engine immediately stalls your charging system is not charging. If it stays running it is charging. Do not reconnect cable until you turn the engine off to prevent damaging the alternator.
If it stalls the most likely reason is the alternator. There are still other things that may prevent it from charging. Many alternators are regulated by the computer so it could be a computer or a wiring issue or even a blown fuse. If you can remove the alternator without much difficulty then remove it and take it to a auto parts store and have them bench test it. Last but certainly not least make sure your cables are clean inside and out. An alternator cannot charge a battery with poor corroded connections.

2000 pathfinder battery draining

Sounds like your alternator is doing nothing-the car is running only off the battery. Have your charging system checked-does your battery light stay lit? If that bulb is burnt out, that may be why the charging system is not working. On some charging systems, that bulb is crucial for the alternator to work.
Engine off, a fully charged battery should measure 12.5 volts with a voltmeter. Engine idling, and the voltmeter at the same battery should be showing about 13.5 volts. This tells you the charging system is working.

I have a 95 Nissan Pathfinder. My brake lights are stuck on. The ABS light is on also. And my brakes are sticking when I drive. What is the problem?

You know you have an ABS System problem
or the light wouldn't be on.

Have it diagnosed

The brake lights could be a switch
or adjustment, chech by the brake pedal
for that

Sticking brakes, abs related maybe but most
likely they have to come apart and be cleaned of
rust and lubed
Caliper pistons frozen,hoses restricted
Older Vehicle lots to do

2001 nissan pathfinder. seems electronic. first seemed dead battery, put in new battery. fine for couple of days. then dashboard warning signals, oil, battery, brakes, and airbag, start going on. then...

Have your alternator checked. Most auto supply places do this at no charge. Multiple dashboard warning lights usually indicate alternator problems.
