SOURCE: How to change the oil on a 2005 Kia Sedona

The oil filter is towards the front of the car, underneath on the passenger side, at the corner of the engine cradle. Loosen the drain plug and drain the oil. Make sure the old oil filter gasket came off with the oil filter. Reinstall the new oil filter. Reinstall the drain plug and fill with 5 quarts of 10w/30 motor oil.

SOURCE: where is the crankshaft position/crank

Hi, at the front of the crankshaft. if its near time for the timing belt, you want to replace it along with any pullies, tensioner and water pump

The crankshaft position sensor is mounted on the engine near the crankshaft.

Operation

The crankshaft position sensor is a Hall-Effect sensor that senses the crank angle (piston position) of each cylinder and converts it into a pulse signal. The signal from the sensor is relayed to the ECM to indicate engine rpm and the position of the crankshaft.

Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the connector from the sensor.
  3. Remove the bolt that retains the sensor in place.
  4. Remove the sensor from its mounting. To install:
    1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
    2. Clearance between the sensor and the sensor wheel should be 0.020-0.059 inch. 2002-2005
      1. Properly connect the scan tool.
      2. Start the engine and allow it to idle.
      3. Be sure the idle position switch is ON.
      4. Specifications are as follows:

Temperature - 4°F, test specification 1500-1700 RPM Temperature 32°F, test specification 1350-1550 RPM Temperature 68°F, test specification 1200-1400 RPMTemperature 104°F, test specification 1000-1200 RPM Temperature 176°F, test specification 650-850 RPM

Ordered a replacement Throttle body position sensor for my 2006 Kia Sedona LX. It doesnt look anything like the throttle body position sensor on the actual throttle body

Before attempting to fit I would ensure the supplier has provided you with the correct part.. I am not familiar with that vehicle but if the part is so radically different from the part removed I would be concerned.
Presumably the parts person went through the schematics of the vehicle when ordering?

What do I do i replaced the engine in my 2007 Kia Spectra with an engine from a 2005 it idles good however it will not speed up what do I need to check for now?

i believe your vehicle has a speed sensor as well
as that throttle position sensor. If you did replave
the throttle position sensor, did you make sure
you put the new one back in the exact way you
pulled the old one out? There may be a camshaft
sensor giving you a problem. There are several
sensors that may have something to do with that.

Check engine light came on trouble shooting code is P 0122

Code P0122 is a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) sensor out of range.

The operating range of the TPS is about .5 to 4.8 volts. .5 at idle 2.5 at half throttle and 4.8 at full throttle.

This can be checked easily with a scanner. But can be checked with a multi-meter.
P0122 Tjrottle Position Sensor low voltage

You can try replacing it for a start and see what happens
