Will this problem stop your car from running or stopping

It means your oil pressure is too low to properly lubricate the engine. You either have a bad oil pump, plugged oil filter, or you are too low on oil. Check the oil level first. If you keep running the engine with this light on, the engine may sieze up and be destroyed.

Have someone check the computer for trouble codes. The flashing light means the problem is serious enough to cause damage to the catalytic converter.

it means the oil pressure is low and may be low enough to damage the engine if you keep drving/running the engine. it would help if you could tell us the actual oil pressure, engine and mileage . basically, the oil pressure may be low enough to wreck your engine, then again it may be bs......

it means you have low oil pressure. stop the engine ASAP and check the oil level, fill it up if its low. if its not low, find out why the light is on, but dont drive it. if you drive it you may already have engine damage.

Flashing is BAD, it means theres a misfire causing Catalytic Converter damage.

car needs oil pressure or bearings will wear out in short time. Do not drive or start engine with this light on. Might only be pressure sending unit. Can replace sending unit and start briefly to see if problem resolves. If light still stays on, shut off engine and have oil pump replaced.

when water light is fashing means low coolant it prob die due to low coolant or over heated

Hi,
That means LOW PRESSURE , not low in volume. Pressure is measured in PSI. The reason that your light comes on when you are at a stop is because your engine goes to idle at a stop and would normally have lower pressure. That doesn't mean you should get a low pressure light though.. I would have it checked by a pro right away as this could be your first warning before a serious problem.
