Probably sorted by now but in case anyone gets the same problem. Check all the red fuses in the main fuse box, not just the one the handbook says it should be. The main fuse box is behind the glove box...push in the sides and the gb will drop down....the fuse box is facing you.

With ignition on put car in reverse and turn wipers on, all three should do a full sweep, if rear doesn't then its switch/connector that u will need to replace via removal of gearbox mounting, mine have just worked so I'm checking fuse next

I had the same problem! Right backup light not working. Cabbages the bulb but no luck. I started tracing the wiring from the light back into the trunk and all of a sudden I noticed a broken green wire. It must have been ripped by something I was carrying in the trunk. I used an additional piece of small gage wire the reconnect the ends of the broken wire and Iran as good as new. Hope this helps somebody.

You  probably have a frayed wire touching something metal (short to ground) check your wiring, check your grounds.

2005 Ford Focus- Blinkers, Brake lights and hazards don't work -just change the bulbs and they still don't work. Help!

That should be on two different fuses, but everything goes thru the turn signal switch.
The switch might be faulty. A mechanic would check for voltage there.

Reverse light does not work, checked bulbs and fuse and they look good, any suggestions?? 2001 ford focus sedan.. thanks

If the bulb and the fuse are good, (the fuse will affect other circuits as well, not only the reverse lights), your next stop is the reverse light switch. It is located on the gearbox and is a switch with two wires coming from it. Remove the wires and touch them together and see if the reverse light comes on with the ignition on. If they do, you need to replace the switch.

Aside from fuses and bulbs., why would the reverse lights stop working?

Have you checked the backup light switch on the transmission?

Reversing light on my ford focus (51 plate) dose not work i have no voltage i have changed the reversing switch still not solved it can anyone tell me which is the live wire

the switch is in fact the earth when you select reverse it gronds the wire, so to test take lead off and earth it, there will be a contant live to the bulb with the ignition on, if when earthed the light works the fault is with the switch, which could be an adjustment problem, or a defective switch. if does not work when earthed check the live to the bulb then check fuse
