NOW IF YOU HAVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR AND FUEL FILTER AS ONE UNIT.BECAUSE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR BUILT TO THE FUEL FILTER.TO REPLACE FUEL FILTER, FIRST DEPRESSURIZE THE FUEL SYSTEM BY REMOVING THE FUEL PUMP RELAY LOCATED ON THE COWL.THEN CRANK ENGINE UNTIL IT DIES LACK OF FUEL.THE CRANK ENGINE OVER FEW TIMES TO MAKE SURE ALL FUEL OUT THE FUEL LINES.LOCATION OF FUEL FILTER UNDER THE VECHICLE MOUNTED TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CHASIS.
remove rear seat, it's just clipped in. remove fuel pump acces cover gasket, pull out fuel pump assembly. Hold off smoking till later. order online new pump for a third of the price. reinstall. bingo...done.
replace fuel pump. you never run out of gas in a BMW...what's wrong with you? It breaks the fuel pump. It's against the BMW code to sit there on the side of the road waiting for bubba and his towtruck and red can of gas. BMW.....come on. you're supposed to have enough money to buy gas.
