  • You need to specify the particulars of the vehicle. Make, model, year.
  • My first guess is you have a broken fan belt driving the power steering.
  • Power brakes are generally vacuum driven But on certain Dodge chrysler trucks they are driven off of the power steering pump.
  • If it isn't a broken fan belt, the power steering pump is probably either low on fluid or bad.

may be you have a leak and your car run out of powersteering fluid or your powersteering pump os no good.

these cars have very frequent problems with the rear engine mount . . . if you powerbrake the car it will show you exactly where the issue is im sure this is your problem . . . . . . dont forget to rate thanks :) gl

A broken accesory belt, no powersteering fluid, posibly a damages powersteering pump.

Powersteering doesnt work when stopped or slowing

if the belt is tight u will need a new P/S pump.
