Dash show me hand brake warning light and car no power
You gone have to change your back weel galipers on both side and change your parking brake cables..
With a normal handbrake, you can remove some screws around the handbrake covering. The screws are sometimes well hidden so you have to look around.
When you get the covering off, there are two adjusting nuts at the rear of the handbrake. Turn the nuts until you can get "5 clicks" on the handbrake to set the brakes.
Some jack up the car while doing this so they can rotate the wheels by hand to feel when the brakes touch the pads.
Hope this helps
There are several things that can make a hand brake stick on. It possible the cable attached to the leaver has come off it guide. There is a cable running from each rear wheel to the handbrake leaver , a inner cable running through a outer housing , chick that the inner cable is free to move back and forward . if all the cables are free to slide adjust the rear brakes and hand brake as instructions . Slacken off the hand brake cable adjustment. Jack up the rear wheals and adjust the brake shoes till the brakes lock, then back off till the wheels are free to turn. Then pull the hand brake leaver on two clicks and adjust the hand brake cable till the rear wheels just start to bind, release the hand brake leaver and check the wheels are free to turn.

There is an issue with the height control sensor on the Prius product. Is it still under warranty? If not, go back to the dealer and tell them that you want scheduled to see the District Service and Parts Operations Manager. When you meet with him/her, explain the situation, and the costs involved. He/she has the ability to grant "goodwill" assistance, and possibly help you out on the repair, with Toyota participating in some of the costs.
Can't hurt to try. More often than not, the DSPOMs are very flexible, and like to promote customer satisfaction.

it is not a safety issues . the chip sensor in the car is defective. if it doesnt anoy you dont worry. if the sensor fails to warn you when the key is left inside then you should be concerned.

The flashing key-inside-a-car means the anti-theft system is working properly. On page 84 of the 2009 Prius owners manual, the explanation indicates that a flashing key-inside-a-car is normal, and is desired. It should extinguish when the automobile is operating. It may be distracting, but it's a good thing!!

I had the same problem. the jerking breaking and pulling to one side, but if u are going over 70 miles and that happens to you, you better start praying cause it will **** so hard that its hard to control. the yaw rate sensor (prox $400 on line) needs to be replace and adjustment (i beleave only the dealer can adjust). What I did to solve the problem is to eliminate the sensor ($0 cost). now my SUV drives and handle just like a regular truck without traction control. Toyota is not helping on this matter and dealers just dont care. I will not put my family thru the same scarry ride. My solution eliminate the sensor, the light is on @ all time but in return a smooth ride. Im not telling you to do what I did, but Im telling you it is the Yaw Rate Sensor. Good luck.
