I just bought a 2008 Tahoe Hybrid with 96,000 miles on it. I had the 12 volt battery replaced and hooked up to my 5000# snowmobile trailer, as I was towing on the highway a message appeared in the dash that said "Service Hybrid System". After disconnecting the trailer and driving it around I could not duplicate the message. What's going on?

Also try http://www.etrailer.com/faq-wiring.aspx. They have a great website with lots of info. With the tow package, there should be a plug under the dash... far left above the emerg. brake petal. The harness that plugs into it should have came with the truck, or you can order one to fit it. Did thew truck come with a 7 pin plug on the back? If not you can order one from the above mentioned site. They also have the wiring colors.

A battery can read 12 volts yet be weak in cold cranking amps, try a jumpstart and if that works have your battery load tested. Im betting your gonna find the battery fails the load test, meaning it needs to be replaced..

Doing some checking this is an issue with the HV battery and its normal operating temperature range where the temperature range is exceeded or an issue with the HVBT climate control system having a failure. You will need to take this to the dealer and have them run codes and to look at the temperature blend door actuator as well.
