Resetting with the original key should be able to take battery cables off for a minute and put them back on you still virgin the key to lock and unlock door place original key and steering wheel turn forward wait till the 3 minutes for the security like to go out and shoot it. From there if the original T is not damaged

I have a 98 honda accord i was replacing the harmonic balancer and when pulling it off the woodruff key came out. Which way does the key go back in?

Usually with a wood ruff key, one side is very slightly thicker than the other. Put the key in the crank channel and see what side fits the tightest. Sometimes you may not even notice a difference. As long as the key fits secure in the channel and the crank pulley goes on without binding.... there should be no problem

91 honda accord wont crank

There is a sensor under the left hand side of the dash that would not allow it to start, provided that you have replaced the electronic spark module inside the distributor first, which is what it sounds like it would be, When you say you replaced the distributor I assume you replaced it complete!

Flashing key sensor on and suddenly car turns off

make sure you are not using the valet key. if still goes on take the key to a honda dealer and let them reprogramme the key,. most dealers do it for free.

Key wont turn

I had the same problem. Turns out the key was worn down. I still had an original "unused" key which I put into the ignition and had no problems with that key. Since this key worked, it confirmed that the other key was bad.

I then had a copy made and put the original key back into my "auto" file folder in case I needed another key in the future.

If you don't have a spare key, you should still have the metal key tag that came with the car. You can take that to a Honda dealership to have a key made from that.
