If the brake lights stay on even if the car is turned off (or even if it is on) the first thing I would be checking is the brake pedal switch under the dash. Brake lights are activated when the brake pedal is depressed and comes off the switch or the return spring is broken or stretched not allowing it to fully return when foot is taken off the brake pedal.
Make sure that the wires to the brake switch are not getting pinched. If you press the brake and the problem goes away, then the problem has to be centered there in the brake pedal area. The other thing you can check is to make sure that the brake pedal springs back to normal location, if the spring is broken or worn out, then the whole weight of the pedal is going to lean on the switch, turning it on eventually. The brake pedal should barely touch the switch and not rest on the switch.(some brake switches may be different and may not be push button). Either way, make sure that brake pedal is coming up all the way.
With the switch disconnected there should be NO power at the bulb sockets. Somewhere there is a "hot" wire which is making contact with the brake light wiring. Using a multimeter start at the sockets and begin checking the hot wire for power. Look at the wiring also to see if you can locate where the wire is touching another live hot wire. With the switch disconnected the problem should be between the switch connector and the bulb sockets.
i'm not to privey on this make ,but some of these models have a reset switch .you might want to check your owners manual to see if that is so .if so it should tell you how to reset it .hope this help's
your brake light is always on because the stopper at the brake switch is destroyed that's why it doesn't turn off. just put something hard to fill the hole at the brake pedal.
