They are in a closed loop the ABS and the balance pressure switch. You likely have some kind of problem with ABS system .If one dosn't work it will effect the other light

Brake Warning Indicator
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the brake warning indicator when the following occurs:

The body control module (BCM) detects that the park brake is engaged. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM requesting illumination.

The EBCM detects a low brake fluid condition and sends a class 2 message to the IPC.

An ABS-disabling malfunction also disables dynamic rear proportioning (DRP).

ABS Indicator
The IPC illuminates the ABS indicator when the following occurs:

sounds like you have an intermittent problem for now ! a wiring issue or wheel speed sensor going bad. Need to check for codes in abs module , that will give you an Idea where to look first. These systems can set a lot of codes, component codes , wiring codes etc... need to know what code first.

The ABS light normally illuminates to indicate that the ABS module is out of parameter, which may indicate a POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS CONDITION. Usually, replacing the ABS module will cure the condition, and the ABS warning light will turn off.

The ABS light on your vehicle will self-reset, once the condition causing the light to illuminate is rectified.
Reasons for the ABS light coming on are:

1. Worn brake pads;
2. Worn calipers (beyond tolerance);
3. Defective ABS unit;
4. Low brake fluid level;
5. Defective master cylinder;
6. Brake fluid leak.

It is important that whatever condition is causing the ABS light to illuminate is corrected as soon as possible, as it indicates a potential hazardous condition exists with your vehicle.

All the computers on the car are linked together. The ABS can trigger the service light on some applications, ie speed sensors. You can still drive, but you wont have ABS, meaning if you brake hard enough or in gravel the tires can lock up and skid.

That means there is a problem with your anti-lock brake system. should be looked at by a pro unless you are familiar with the new braking systems

no theres a problem with the abs, when abs doesnt work it turns on both those lights, you have to have computer scaned to get codes to diagnose the problem, it maybe just a wheel sensor. you cant turn it on or off, but you can still drive like that you just wont have abs trac-control when lights on computer shuts it down, so its like you shut it off, if you dont need it then dont fix it,wont affect running of engine .good luck.

the abs switch could be going bad or the relay for it could be weak.the relay is under the hood.have it checked taking care of one problem could solve the other

depending on the system if it is 2 channel or 4 channel one of the sensors that are located on the backing plate located behind calipers is eithier faulty or dirty you can try brake cleaner these sensors use a small magnet pickup device to sense when the wheel "locks up"
