Three things will throw the code
1. Worn shoes (pads)
2. Bad abs module
3. Air in abs lines
if you've changed your pads recently you probably haven't bled the air from the abs lines
No year car stated. so , no exact answers.
what do you mean by clear.
hide it,
fix the cause then reset it, (it auto resets)
if abs sticks on , read the operators guide in the glove box?
it says what/, "get it serviced"
what will they do , they will scan it, then check the brakes carefully
most ABS errors are just , bad brakes .
get the brakes checked first.
look for road hazard caused (impact) to the 4 wheel sensors.
see those wire cables at the 4 axles? ends? that be ABS
they must not be damaged. (impact damaged)
but all this is part of a brake inspecting so get it serviced first.
SOURCE: How to clear the diagnostic codes on my 1993 jeep cherokee?
To clear codes on these, you can disconnect the battery, then re-connect. The only code remaining will be one indicating battery power was interuppted. This will not work on 98 and newer vehicles.
