SOURCE: 2003 kia rio- water pumps

If it is your first time having the timing belt changed, chances are the water pump is still in good enough shape to hold out until you are due for your next belt change. No sense throwing away money prematurely...

When i change my time belt, should i also change the water pump?

Yes it is always better to change the water pump when you do this unless it has been changed recently. Also make sure to clean the front end of the engine real good with a solvent before putting the timing belt back on.. Good luck.
