Ac and heat air flows to the defrost vents only, no matter where the selector knob is positioned. Temp control and blower speed work fine. Just can't get air to flow through dash or floor vents.
Most often the problem is in corroded negatives.
Go into the engine compartment and , one at a time with the power off, unscrew a ground wire on the wheel well or the firewall and clean the corrosion off it. Replace each one and tighten carefully. Repeat for every ground you can find. While you are at it, disconnect the battery wires and clean them too. When done, start the engine again (sorry, you might have lost all your radio settings!) and try the switch again. Even the engine may run better.
SOURCE: blower works on all speeds but minimal air comes out
you have the blower motor and blower motor resitor that controls the speed of the blower motor and it is good to replace them as a pair. sounds like your resistor is going south
SOURCE: heating / air conditioning control stuck to front defrost vents
There is a vacuum leak under the hood. Find the vacuum line on the passenger side where it comes through the firewall and follow it to the engine. You system needs vacuum to operate and without it the default setting is on defrost for safety reasons.
SOURCE: No air flows from dash vents
blend door actuator. to fix, the dasshboard has to be removed, A/C has to be reclaimed, and coolant drained. it is not an easy task for the DIY'er. best left to a repair shop as it is an aggrevating and time consuming process.
SOURCE: NO AC/HEAT IN FRONT; BUT REAR AC SEEMS FINE, NO
check the fuse panel maybe is the fuse just blow ,and check the motor blower at the ac.good luck
SOURCE: Air blows only on windshield even when placed on vents or feet
you may have abad slector door acuator.which is alittle motor bolted on the heater box.It move a door in box to direct air flow to right location.hope this helps.
