Battery Flat. Re-charged without disconnecting battery. Starts and drives OK except ABS warning light on + Traction Control warning message.

Batteries that are on the way out will give false malfunction signals. Replace your battery before doing anything else.

Malfunction electrical consumers switched off in E320?

it is likely the large battery in the boot that has weakened, if after driving car for some time when you restart the message disappears.

5.3 battery light

It sounds like the voltage regulator is malfunctioned but hasn't went completely bad. It has a built in regulator unlike the old cars. Also check all your connections from the battery to the starter solenoid and back down to the starter.

ABS malfunction warning light on Airbag malfunction warning message Battery not charging Message No power steering battery totally flat

This time of year alot of batteries fail because of the cold but a bad battery will not turn on the charging light. This usually only occurs when the alternator isnt charging. When the battery drains enough its possible thats why you have these other issues.
Codes only set when the computer does not see the correct voltages

Compurter says PSM and ABS failure - Porsche Boxster 08/2002

Hi,

Just had same problem this morning. I had noticed that the satnav was malfunctioning (i.e. developed a mind of its own!!) a couple of days ago and then this morning PSM/ABS failure......marvellous!! Anyway, simply disconnected battery, waited 10-15 mins, reconnected battery and hey presto my boxster fired up. However the PSM failure message still showed, so took it for a spin around the block and the message disappeared and, touch wood, everything seems back to normal. I think it must have been a battery problem, so just to safe I am going to get a new battery and hopefully I can look forward to years of trouble free motoring.....one day with the roof down!!!! (Where has the sunshine gone!!!????)
