My lumina keeps stalling and if it runs has no power.............

Okay here's my problem.....I had someone do a tune-up on my 1990 lumina last week and the car was running fine before they touched it. They replaced the spark plugs and wires and the fuel filter and now the car keeps stalling and if I can get it to stay running it has no power at all. Also if I turn the a/c on it will stall immediately. The engine isn't misfiring either. The guy that did the tune-up insists that I got bad spark plug wires and I should return them. Another person says that's ridiculous and it sounds like there's a vacuum leak somewhere possibly by the firewall and that one of the hoses was most likely knocked off. I don't what to do so if anyone could help, I would appreciate it.

If all that was done was a tune up, either a vacuum hose was knocked out of place or the wiring could have been crossed. Sometimes even a plug wire may not be making good contact. It's something simple and I hope you solve this .

STARTS BUT WON'T STAY RUNNING

Could be something as simple as a dirty fuel filter.
Get a can of quick start at the store and have someone start it up, when it wants to die squirt a shot into the intake ... if it runs again for a bit you have a fuel delivery issue. Check the fuel pressure to see if the pump is functioning properly.

My van runs but when I slow down it will cut off. what could it be?

The best way to determine why your car stalls when you slow down is take it to a mechanic. The reasons could be your fuel injectors are clogged, or the EGR valve which has to do with a vacuum leak.

1990 chevy lumina, idling problem...stalling...too rich

Stalling and running rich. I have seen this before on a Camero. The fuel pump was weak. Not making enough pressure. This caused the fuel injector to DRIP gas instead of SPRAY gas. This caused the fuel to flow into the cylinder in a liquid form, and it did not burn well. We put in a new fuel pump and the car came to life. Good luck.

1993 Chevy Lumina stalls from a stop.

My 93 Lumina did the same thing and a simple tune up solved the problem. For whatever reason, the rear middle plug wire goes bad before the others.
